About the Speaker

        Prof. Sun Yang is the Director of the Department of Biotechnology and Pharmacology at Nanjing University and PI of the National Key Laboratory of Medical Biotechnology. He has been engaged in research on the pathological mechanism and drug regulation of inflammatory diseases for a long time. He is the chairman of the first Youth Committee of the Anti-inflammatory and Immunopharmacology Special Committee of the Chinese Pharmacological Society, the expert of the discipline evaluation group of NSFC Medical Science Department, the editorial board member of the Chinese and English versions of Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica, and the executive deputy editor of APSB. He published more than 90 papers including Nat Commun and EMBO Mol Med. He presided over 8 NSFC funds and 1 subproject of the National Key Research and Development Plan. He has won two first prizes of the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education (ranking the 2nd and 3rd) and the Shi Weiya Young Pharmacologist Award of the Chinese Pharmacological Society.
