Mid-autumn festival party for international students
On Stp 16, 2022, the International Office of Soochow University held an orientation for the new international students, followed by a mid-autumn festival party.
New PhD student Sufia Yasmeen from the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences attended this event and was very impressed.
"The university administration made it easier for new students by setting up an orientation event. Moving to a new place is never easy. The orientation ceremony was not only an educational event but also a thorough introduction to university life, during which the new students received information on all facets of their academic and extracurricular activities both on and off campus. I thought the lecture on student security and safety was excellent. Other teachers' presentations on education, student life, and visa regulations were also very beneficial.
The following half of the event was pleasant and joyful. The celebration of the mid-autumn festival with the new international students was undoubtedly a great way to introduce students to the colorful Chinese culture, which is full of festivals and celebrations. Everything, including the decorations and entertainment, was done superbly. We were provided some delicious snacks, and that, of course, was the icing on the cake. I want to express my sincere gratitude to all the teachers and students who worked so hard to plan such a lovely event on the night of the Full Moon Festival. Memories of such colorful events last a lifetime. I'm grateful."
