Recently, our faculty member Xinchen Teng was awarded the title of Advanced Individual in Educational Management of Foreign Students in Jiangsu Province in 2021 due to her excellent performance in managing international students.
Xinchen Teng, Ph.D., is a Distinguished Associate Professor at Soochow University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences. She serves as the foreign affairs secretary and the international student counselor responsible for affairs related to international cooperation and exchanges. She currently focuses on assisting the establishment of the SUDA-RCSI International College of Pharmaceutical Innovation. She also commits to the external publicity of the international student programs of the college. The Master of Pharmacy program has been promoted on the Times Higher Education website, and the response has been excellent.
As the international student counselor, she is mainly responsible for the daily management of international students and provides necessary care and assistance for their studies and life. During the COVID-19 pandemic, while strengthening the regulation of international students on campus, she also paid particular attention to the physical and mental conditions of the students and gave sufficient care. In addition, She encourages international students to learn and understand Chinese culture. International students in the college actively participate in the "iSuzhou Promotion Ambassador", "Grow up on time during the war against the epidemic", "Fight the epidemic, I am with Soochow University", "Let's have fun in Jiangsu", "Perceive China - a journey of harmonious economic and environmental development", and other practical activities.
Dr. Teng also actively participates in teaching international students. Through teaching, she fully understands their learning status and demands. At the same time, she also takes this opportunity to enhance communication with international students to implement better management.
