About the Speaker

      Yang Sun is the professor and doctoral supervisor of Pharmacology at Nanjing University. Currently, he is the Dean of the Department of Biotechnology and Pharmacology, Nanjing University, PI of the State Key Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and the Institute of Chemistry and Biomedical Innovation. He has engaged in basic and applied research on the pathological mechanism and drug regulation of inflammation-related diseases for a long time. He is the chairman of the first Youth Committee of Anti-inflammatory and Immune Pharmacology Special Committee of the Chinese Pharmacological Society, an expert in the discipline evaluation group of the Medical Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and an editorial board member of the Chinese and English Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences. He has published Nat Commun (3 papers), EMBO Mol Med, Arthritis Rheumatol, Signal Transduct Target Ther (2 papers), J Immunother by corresponding author Cancer, Autophagy (3 papers), JBC and other papers more than 80 (4 cover articles, 3 highly cited papers). He has won two first prizes of Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education (ranked 2nd and 3rd), Shi Weiya Young Pharmacologist Award of the Chinese Pharmacological Society, the Outstanding Science and Technology Worker of Jiangsu Province, and outstanding graduate career tutor of Nanjing University.
