About the speaker

    Prof. Yan Zhang is a distinguished professor, deputy dean of the School of Basic Medicine of Zhejiang University, and the deputy director of the Center for Innovative Drug Research of Zhejiang University. He focuses on the structural pharmacology of GPCR involved in the development of human diseases, exploring the activation mechanism of GPCR, functional selective signal transduction, regulation mechanism, etc. His research provides a theoretical basis for the precision treatment of major diseases and exploring innovative targets. The high-resolution structure of the GPCR signal transduction complex was obtained by cryoelectron microscopy for the first time. He has published more than 40 corresponding or first-author papers, including Nature (8), Science (2), Cell, Cell Research (5), Molecular Cell (3), Nature Chemical Biology, etc.
