Biomedical Innovation Forum Connects Research, Talent and Industry in Suzhou

SUZHOU, China – On July 11, Soochow University and the Suzhou Institute of Pharmaceutical Innovation (SIPI) brought together biomedical researchers and industry representatives for the Biomedical Academic and Industry Frontiers Forum. The event focused on emerging technologies, research commercialization and new opportunities for collaboration across academia and industry.

The forum was held in conjunction with the 18th Suzhou International Elite Entrepreneurship Week and the third Suzhou International Science and Technology Innovation Conference, which opened July 10 at the Suzhou International Expo Center. The citywide events combined project recruitment, talent engagement, investment promotion and cultural activities to strengthen Suzhou’s international innovation network.

Building on this momentum, the forum convened experts and scholars from China and abroad to discuss current developments in biomedicine and pathways for translating scientific discoveries into practical applications. Participants exchanged perspectives on frontier technologies, university-industry collaboration and the commercialization of innovative research.

Representatives of Soochow University and Suzhou Industrial Park also introduced programs and policies supporting talent recruitment, entrepreneurship and technology transfer. These presentations highlighted the region’s integrated resources for researchers and companies seeking to advance biomedical projects from early discovery through industrial development.

The event further strengthened connections among Soochow University, the Suzhou Institute for Innovative Drug Research and the broader biomedical community. Looking ahead, the organizers will continue to develop platforms for academic exchange, talent-industry engagement and research commercialization, supporting the growth of Suzhou’s biomedical innovation ecosystem.
