College of Pharmaceutical Sciences Welcomes New Graduate Students

SUZHOU, China – On September 13, the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Soochow University welcomed its 2026 cohort of graduate students, marking the beginning of a new academic journey for students arriving from across China.

Faculty members, staff and student volunteers had prepared the registration site at the university’s DuShu Lake campus in advance to ensure an efficient and welcoming arrival experience. Throughout the day, volunteers assisted incoming students with registration, verified enrollment information, distributed orientation materials and answered questions about academic and campus life.

For many students and their families, the day offered a first opportunity to explore the campus and meet members of the community. A photo area at the registration site allowed students to capture the occasion with their families, celebrating an important milestone before beginning their graduate studies.

Prof. Zhang Xiaohong, secretary of the CPC Soochow University Committee, visited the registration site to learn about the arrival process and speak with incoming students, faculty members and volunteers. He thanked the orientation team for its work and encouraged the students as they prepared for the next stage of their education.

Later in the day, College leaders and faculty members visited the students in their residence halls. During the visits, they asked how the students were settling in, discussed practical aspects of campus life and listened to their questions about graduate study and research. The conversations helped students become acquainted with the people and resources available to support them during their time at Soochow University.

As they begin their graduate education, members of the 2026 students will join a community dedicated to scientific discovery, interdisciplinary collaboration and the advancement of human health. The College of Pharmaceutical Sciences looks forward to supporting each student’s academic development and welcoming the ideas, perspectives and energy they will contribute to the University.
