报告摘要:
Nigricanoside A was isolated from green alga, and its dimethyl ester was found to display potent cytotoxicity. Its scarcity prevented a full structure elucidation, leaving total synthesis as the only means to determine its relative and absolute stereochemistry and to explore its biological activity. We assigned the stereochemistry of the natural product through enantioselective total synthesis and provide initial studies of its cytotoxicity.
 
报告人简介:
Jie Chen (陈洁)was born in Henan, China and received her B.Sc. in chemistry from Henan University in 2005. She obtained her Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Shengming Ma from Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (SIOC), Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2010. In 2011, she joined the laboratory of Prof. Joseph M. Ready as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW). Her research interest is natural product total synthesis and medicinal chemistry.
