报告摘要: Liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (LC-MS) is widely used for highly selective and sensitive analysis of biomolecules such as metabolites, lipids, peptides and proteins. The rapidly growing of biomedicine has raised challenges in bioanalysis, including sample complexity, wide variety of physicochemical property, huge dynamic range of the biomolecule, etc. These challenges necessitate the development of tailored bioanalysis approaches. In this report, tailored LC-MS based methods have been developed by conjugation of designed sample pretreatment and LC separation with MS detection. The utility of the tailored LC-MS methods has been demonstrated in a variety of biomolecules and sample matrices including serum, plasma, tissue and cells. From the perspective of clinical and environmental applications, the tailored analysis approaches exhibited advantages in omics studies, biomarker discovery and identification of adverse outcome pathways.
报告人简介:Dr. Xiaoming Cai received her Ph D. degree in analytical chemistry at Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics. She has been worked as a postdoctoral fellow in School of Public Health, University of California Berkeley (UCB) for two years and then worked as an assistant researcher in the department of pharmacology, University of California Irvine (UCI).
Dr. Cai’ s research focuses on the development of LC-MS methods for the separation and detection of complex biological samples, establishment of multiple-omics paradigms, biomarker discovery as well as the identification of adverse outcome pathways.
